Using the Color Picker

The color picker (fig. 57) enables you to control the color and intensity settings of Ketra lights, as well as controlling parameters of any third-party outputs in scenes. It is accessible from any of the tabs in Device Control and an essential part of your Design Studio toolkit.

Using the color picker, you can:

  • Emulate classic lighting styles and dimming curves. For easy lighting customization, select from popular presets in the Content Library tab. Presets include natural and colored light, warm dimming curves, and common light styles like incandescents. See Content Library.
  • Control advanced color parameters of your light. For advanced customization, use the Manual Control tab of the color picker. There you can select your own color from a color diagram, set RGB values, and specify settings for hue, vibrancy, and other parameters. See Manual Control.
  • Save your own presets for later use across installations. See User Presets.
  • Customize settings for third-party outputs in a scene. If a group contains any third-party outputs wired to an N3 Satellite or X2 Dimmer, use the 3rd Party Outputs tab to control output voltage, contact-closure state, and numerous DMX parameters. See 3rd Party Outputs.
Note: The 3rd Party Outputs tab is available for scene-building, but you cannot assign default states to third-party devices, so the tab is grayed out on the Lamps tab.
