Sharing Access to an Installation

Sharing allows another Design Studio account to access an installation. The account will be able to access the installation on-site and remotely (as long as remote access is enabled; see Enabling Remote Access).

There are two requirements for sharing:

  • Only the account that created the installation can share access.
  • Sharing only works when the computer that is trying to share access has an Internet connection.
Note: If you need to share an installation but cannot access the account that created the installation, contact Ketra Tech Support. You can reach us Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, CST. Call 1-512-872-4357, or email ketrasupport@lutron.com.
Caution: After sharing, we strongly recommend against having more than one computer edit the same installation simultaneously (regardless of whether they are using the same or different Design Studio accounts). If that happens, the computer that syncs last will overwrite any changes made from the other computer(s).

You can share an installation in one of two ways:

  • Share from the Existing Installations list
  1. Go to the Design Studio home screen.
  2. Right-click the installation in the Existing Installations list.
  3. Choose Share.
  4. Enter the Design Studio account email address and click Share. A green Success message will appear below the email address field to confirm that the installation shared successfully.

  • Share from the my.goketra Customer Web Portal
  1. Navigate to https://my.goketra.com.
  2. Log in if prompted. You should log in with the same Design Studio account that created the installation.
  3. In the list of installations, find the installation and click Share.
  4. Enter the Design Studio account email address and click Share.

The user will now be able to access the installation from their Existing Installations list in Design Studio and my.goketra.
