Always try to commission with Internet access, even if it entails using your phone as a Wifi hotspot. If Internet access is unavailable, do the following to save your progress:
- Leave Design Studio open until you reacquire Internet access, then close. Closing the installation when you have Internet access will trigger a sync up, so that your configurations get written to Ketra’s cloud backup of the installation.
- In small installations (1 or 2 KNets), click Publish and Save regularly during commissioning. This saves configurations to the devices and to your local installation file.
- In large installations, avoid clicking Publish and Save until you have finished making changes and successfully synced. Publishing requires communication with every device and may take a substantial amount of time in large installations. In some cases, Design Studio may time out and have to restart, in which case your configurations will be lost. This is why we recommend syncing before publishing in large installations.
